When shampooing your curly hair, you need to ensure that your scalp and roots are clean. You can pay less attention to your mid length and the hair ends. They will anyways get cleaned when you remove the shampoo from your scalp. Applying the conditioner properly is also an art. Make sure that you smoothen the conditioner from your hair roots to the hair tips. Once you have applied it make sure that you leave it in for at least 15 minutes. This will create air pockets that will create natural heat and give your hair a proper temperature.

If your hair is looking dull then chances are that your hair is dirty. Make sure you give it a proper wash at equal intervals. If you have curly hair then you must wash it every third day. For wavy hair you need to wash every second day and straight hair need to be washed everyday. If you have oily hair, you can shampoo it using cold water and do not massage too much. Extra massage and hot water encourages the scalp to produce more oil. An itchy scalp can be soothed with the help of lavender oil. It is better to opt for a non detergent shampoo.
