Amazing Black Curly Hair Care Tips

Not long ago I was a victim of frizzy and extremely outrageous hair. I am a black woman and have always had really dry and tightly wounded hair; though I was happy with my curls but the dryness always bothered me. As I grew up, my curls became kinkier than before and people started making jokes on my hair too, this enraged me a lot and pushed me to research about African American kinky curly hair care. African American kinky curly hair care is not too hard, it just demands you to be persistent, patient with your hair and take care of them on a regular basis. First, you need to replace your hair brush with a quality, wooden comb. Hair brushes make curly hair rougher and harder, on the other hand combs make your hair softer and do not split up curly hair. When you switch your hair brush with a nice comb, you should start focusing on proper curly hair care. Follow these simple tips for African American kinky curly hair care and get smooth hair within a month.

  • Wash your hair twice or thrice a week, washing kinky hair every day dehydrates them and drains the life out of them. Also use a good quality shampoo and conditioner for curly hair like Pure Curls Clarifying Shampoo and Coconut Sublime Conditioner.
  • Apply a generous amount of mustard or coconut oil to your hair every time before washing them. Make sure that you massage the oil very gently on your hair and scalp, rough massaging will deteriorate the condition of your hair.
  • Use this wonderful mask for your hair twice a week. It did wonders for me and will surely help you too. Blend 1 ripe banana (peeled), 1 ripe avocado (peeled) and 1 tablespoon of olive oil together and apply to your hair after shampooing them. Cover your hair with a damp towel and keep the mask on for about 20 minutes, after that rinse your hair. Within 2 weeks your hair will become softer and shinier.
